Jockey Club £1million Chase Triple Crown returns

Jump racing’s leading staying chasers will again get the chance to secure a £1 million bonus for winning The Jockey Club Chase Triple Crown when it returns in the 2018/19 season.

The pay-out – which would be awarded on top of individual race prize money and shared between winning owners, the trainer, staff at the training yard and the jockey – will go to any horse that manages to win all three of Britain’s leading Grade 1 chases - the Betfair Chase at Haydock Park in November, the 32Red King George VI Chase at Kempton Park on Boxing Day in December and the Magners Cheltenham Gold Cup on the final day of The Festival next March.

The bonus will be awarded alongside The Kauto Star Trophy, named in honour of the great chaser who achieved the feat in 2006/7.
