ITV Racing Live at the Derby Festival 2024 Friday 31 May – Saturday 1 June
Two days of live coverage of the Derby Festival on ITV, featuring the Betfred Derby, the most prestigious flat race in the world, at 4.30pm on Saturday.
Ed Chamberlin says: “The Betfred Derby is the one day I need two earpieces to hear my producer such is the atmosphere and noise on both sides of the track. These days other races abroad might be worth more money, but none has the prestige and history of the Derby.”
Francesca Cumani says: “The Derby is the race that I look forward to all year as it takes a brilliant athlete to win it. The undulations of Epsom provide a unique challenge and with the crowded downs, you get a viewing spectacle that you simply wouldn’t get anywhere else in the world.”
Ed Chamberlin and Francesca Cumani will be joined on the podium by former jockeys and racing experts, Jason Weaver and Adele Mulrennan.
Oli Bell, Rishi Persad and Matt Chapman will be covering all the action from around the course with Mick Fitzgerald at the starts, Brian Gleeson in the betting ring and Richard Hoiles in the commentary box.
Brough Scott and Kevin Blake will be on hand for stories as they unfold.
The Opening Show will be presented by Oli Bell and he will be joined by Francesca Cumani, Matt Chapman, Rishi Persad, and Kevin Blake. The team will preview all the upcoming afternoon’s action and analyse which horses they think will win the world’s greatest flat race and why.
Across the two days, the Bafta and Broadcast award-winning production and technical team will use state-of-the-art equipment with cameras all across the famous Epsom Downs course, ensuring every piece of the action is covered.
There will also be a free-to-enter ITV7 competition.
