It was a welcome winner back for Frankie Dettori as his grey companion Magical Memory overcame the testing conditions to triumph in the Group 3 bet365 Hackwood Stakes.
The son of Zebedee was never to far off the pace under the Italian maestro and the duo came through to take up the running inside the final two furlongs in what became a real slog.

Firmly on top inside the final half-furlong the Charlie Hills-trained gelding kept runner-up Perfect Angel at bay by just over a length.
Dettori said: "He's been through the ranks, he's better than these at this level we've got him for another two or three years so let's enjoy him while we can."
