Fahey's Bengali boys spread-eagles opposition in Super Sprint

This year's renewal of the £250,000 Weatherbys Super Sprint was turned into a procession as Bengali Boys streaked away to claim the valuable five furlong prize.

Split into several groups, the bunch down the middle looked to hold the advantage from halfway.

Bengali Boys under Barry McHugh hit the front over a furlong out and began to increase his advantage with every stride.

Stable companion Maggies Angel and Corinthia Knight who fared best of those towards the stands side began to stay on but the bird had clearly flown.

The son of Clodovil galloped clear of his rivals deep inside the final furlong and was a fully six-lengths clear at the winning post.

Declarationoflove ran on to finish second for first-season trainer Tom Clover and Maggies Angel filled out third spot.
