Bob Champion explains why Red Rum's Grand National hat-trick in 1977 was such a big deal for racing

In the second part of our video feature with 1981 Grand National hero Bob Champion, the former jockey remembers growing up with a desire to get a ride in the race.

He believes the race itself would have faded from public appeal without the three wins in the 1970s achieved by the magnificent Red Rum.

And he believes the third of that horse's wins, which came 50 years ago, was one of the biggest single events across all sports worldwide.
