ITVX release first look at true crime drama inspired by real-life events, Under The Banner of Heaven

The series will have its first free UK premiere on ITVX from 26th February

Today, ITVX released a first look promotional trailer for Under The Banner of Heaven. The true crime drama from Academy Award-winner Dustin Lance Black, starring Andrew Garfield, Daisy Edgar-Jones and Sam Worthington will air on free streaming service, ITVX on Monday 26th February, with all episodes made immediately available.

The series was inspired by the true crime bestseller by Jon Krakauer, and follows the events that led to the 1984 murder of Brenda Wright Lafferty (Daisy Edgar-Jones) and her baby daughter in a suburb in the Salt Lake Valley, Utah. As Detective Jeb Pyre investigates events that transpired, he uncovers buried truths about the origins of the LDS religion – Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – and the violent consequences of unyielding faith.

The drama boasts an all-star cast including Andrew Garfield, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Sam Worthington, Denise Gough, Wyatt Russell, Billy Howle, Chloe Pirrie, Rory Culkin, Seth Numrich, Adelaide Clemens and Gil Birmingham.
