19 nominations for ITV across the BAFTA Television Awards and the BAFTA Television Craft Awards 2023 shortlists

ITV programmes have secured an impressive spread of nominations across the BAFTA Television Awards and the BAFTA Television Craft Awards 2023 shortlists, which have been published today, including half of the nominations in the Current Affairs, Mini Series and Entertainment categories, and a nomination for Good Morning Britain in the News category.

Afghanistan - No Country for Women, where reporter Ramita Navai went undercover to powerfully expose the reality of life for women under Taliban rule, is nominated in the Current Affairs category, on the back of its 2022 Grierson Award win for best Current Affairs documentary. RTS Television Journalism award winner, The Crossing, for ITV’s Exposure strand is also nominated in the Current Affairs category, a film piecing together the events behind the tragic capsizing of a dinghy of asylum seekers where over 30 people died.
