UNFORGOTTEN producer Mainstreet Pictures is moving into a new era as co-

founder Laura Mackie leaves the company and Guy de Glanville joins CEO Sally

Haynes as Managing Director.

Haynes and Mackie started the ITV Studios owned company in 2013 and have

produced six series of the acclaimed drama Unforgotten. It is one of ITV’s most

consistently successful series averaging over 8 million viewers and was the number

1 drama on ITV1 and ITVX in 2023 and returns to the channels next year.

Mainstreet has also produced the contemporary relationship thriller Gold Digger

(2019, BBC) Age Before Beauty (2018, BBC) and the comedy drama I Want My Wife

Back (2016 BBC) The success of Gold Digger led to an Italian re-make Deceitful

Love, produced by fellow ITV Studios label, Cattleya, which was the number one

non-English show globally on Netflix in October 2024.

Mackie is stepping away from the industry after many successful years executive

producing dramas including Bleak House and Blackpool for the BBC and

commissioning series such as Downton Abbey, Endeavour, and Broadchurch for

ITV. In 2011 she received the RTS Judges Award for her contribution to tv

programming.

Laura Mackie says: “Running Mainstreet with my friend and colleague Sally has

been an absolute joy and I can’t wait to see what she and the brilliant Guy de

Glanville will produce next. I’ll be their number one viewer.”

Guy de Glanville, who has worked across all the Mainstreet Pictures output for over

10 years, including as Executive Producer on Gold Digger and Unforgotten, will join

Sally Haynes as Managing Director to steer the company into the next phase of

development and production.

Guy de Glanville says: “I’m absolutely delighted to be joining Mainstreet Pictures as

Managing Director for our ambitious next chapter. It’s been a hugely enjoyable and

very successful decade working with Laura Mackie and Sally Haynes on all of

Mainstreet’s award-winning productions. I look forward to an exciting future

continuing to work with Sally and the team at Mainstreet.”

Sally Haynes says: “This is the end of an era and the beginning of a new one. I have

been so privileged to work with Laura over the years, a true friend and the best brain

in tv drama. I am looking forward to the next phase of Mainstreet’s journey with Guy

de Glanville joining as MD. He brings huge production experience and editorial

expertise. Together we are looking forward to a creative and ambitious future.”

Julian Bellamy, Managing Director, ITV Studios added: “Laura has made the most

outstanding contribution to the world of TV drama over the years and it has been an

absolute pleasure working with her. While this may be the end of an era, Laura

leaves Mainstreet with an impressive legacy of quality, high performing scripted

series which I’ve no doubt Sally and Guy will continue to build upon.”
