ITV has today announced three new commissions for its weekend slate.

Commissioned by Katie Rawcliffe and Leanne Clarke for ITV Daytime, the new series include: a fortnightly royal - themed topical chat show hosted by journalist Kate Thornton, a weekly cookery show with British restaurateur Nisha Katona and Prue Leith will be returning to screens for season two of Prue Leith’s Cotswold Kitchen following a successful first series.

Assistant Commissioner, ITV Entertainment and Daytime, Leanne Clarke said: “I am delighted to announce these three new exciting commissions for ITV Daytime which reflect our ongoing commitment to bring fresh and diverse content to our audience. All three shows are unique in their own right and hosted by brilliantly talented women.”

More detail on the commissions below.

Coming to ITV this October, topical chat show, The Royal Beat, hosted by journalist Kate Thornton will be available to watch on ITV1 and ITVX. The exclusive royal talk show will feature various royal expert guests - from royal newspaper editors to former Palace insiders where together they will discuss all of the recent news surrounding the royal family. Each episode will bring fresh, knowledgeable and detailed insight into the monarchy in the UK and abroad.

Host and journalist Kate Thornton, said: “I’m thrilled to be bringing The Royal Beat to ITV and ITVX at a time of incredible change for our Monarchy. On every episode, we’ll be joined by those that work closest with the royal family to bring you genuine insight on the work they do and explore what really happens behind closed doors in the House of Windsor. I think viewers will come away with a deeper understanding of the family and the machine that sits behind it to better understand why the Royals mean so much to us as a nation.”

The Royal Beat with Kate Thornton is a 10 x 60’ Love Monday production for ITV. The Executive Producer is Kerene Barefield and Series Producer is Joceline Sharman.

Nisha Katona will be inviting ITV viewers into her family home near the Wirral in Nisha Katona’s Home Kitchen, coming to ITV and ITVX in 2025.  In this new series, Nisha will prepare some of her favourite recipes at her home using ingredients from local suppliers and her own garden. She shares her home with family, their three dogs, four horses, four goats and assorted ducks, chickens, guinea fowl and alpacas, and viewers will be immersed in the laughter, visits from friends (some furry) as Nisha shares recipes for simple but delicious dishes.

Host, Nisha Katona, said: “I have dedicated my life to making delicious food easily achievable, so I’m thrilled to be able to share my super simple, super tasty, super quick dishes, created in the happy chaos of my own home with my two and four legged family.”

Nisha Katona’s Home Kitchen is a 10 x 60’ STV Studios production for ITV. The Executive Producer is Gary Chippington and Series Producer is Francois Gandolfi.

Finally, fan-favourite Dame Prue Leith will be taking viewers back to her idyllic Cotswold home kitchen as the national treasure finds ten more guests to invite into her home, cooking more of her all-time favourite dishes and sharing her kitchen hacks in the second series of Prue Leith’s Cotswold Kitchen. After proving popular in series one, her husband and right-hand man, John, will also return for series two with more country-living tips and humour. With the first series having an impressive double-digit consolidated audience share throughout and episodes peaking over 764k viewers, viewers are guaranteed to be delighted with Prue’s inimitable charm and culinary prowess once more.

Prue Leith said: “I am so thrilled about our new series of Prue Leith’s Cotswold Kitchen. I love filming in our house and farm; my husband John turns out to be quite the star (not sure I’m so keen on that!). I’ve got some terrific guests lined up to chat and cook with, and more food heroes to show the world. I can’t wait!”

Prue Leith’s Cotswold Kitchen Series 2 is a 10 x 60’ Yeti production for ITV. The Executive Producers are Sian Price and Sarah Stevenson and Series Producer is Sara Allen.
