Celebrity Karaoke Club returns to ITV2 this year along with drag spin-off series
Olivia Attwood, Sonny Jay and AJ Odudu lead star-studded line-up in series two of the outlandish music entertainment show
Karaoke Club: Drag Edition - a spectacular drag extravaganza spin-off will air this Autumn
Following the success of last year’s series, Celebrity Karaoke Club, the outlandish music entertainment show will return this summer with an exciting new series. But that’s not all, as viewers will then be treated to an entertaining and explosive spin-off series in the autumn, Karaoke Club: Drag Edition.
Due to air on ITV2 and ITV Hub, Celebrity Karaoke Club and Karaoke Club: Drag Edition promise more epic performances and naughty night out antics as a new batch of stars make their way into the karaoke club to unleash their inner Lady Gaga.
Like every good night out, the stars will hit the stage, dance floor and the bar as well as having a good old showbiz gossip in the toilets. Who’s pals with Taylor Swift? Who has signed some NDA’s about naughty stuff? Who spills the tea about a Hollywood mega star? Absolutely nothing is off limits in this celebrity party palace.
The stars taking part in Celebrity Karaoke Club this time around are TV presenter AJ Odudu, reality TV favourite Olivia Attwood, Big Brother legend Brian Dowling, comedian Darren Harriott, radio DJ and Dancing on Ice champion Sonny Jay, singer and West End star Amelia Lily, social media superstars Max & Harvey, The Real Housewives of Cheshire’s Tanya Bardsley, Made in Chelsea’s Mark Francis Vandelli, TV & radio presenter Yasmin Evans, Ibiza Weekender’s Jordan Davies, comedian Suzi Ruffell and Blazin’ Squad’s Marcel Somerville.
And once the new King or Queen is crowned, a batch of the biggest Drag stars from across the globe arrive at the club this autumn in pursuit of the sought-after karaoke trophy.
Both a hilarious and glamorous affair, Karaoke Club: Drag Edition will see stars from all walks of Drag show off their performance prowess and entertain with epic solos. Viewers should expect the unexpected in this spectacular Drag extravaganza as the stars will stop at nothing until they own the stage and reign supreme.
The Drag Queens and Kings taking part are Manila Luzon, Trinity The Tuck, The Vivienne, Danny Beard, Freida Slaves, Tete Bang, Cara Melle, Gingzilla, Vinegar Strokes, Lil Test Ease, Mahatma Khandi and Crystal.
Whether their voice is fire or dire, to make it all the way to the final, the stars will have to pull out all the stops to impress their fellow competitors because every karaoke singer is also a judge, with new stars joining along the way in a bid to steal the top spot.
Celebrity Karaoke Club and Karaoke Club: Drag Edition will see more exclusive cameos from the UK’s most iconic stars as they surprise the contestants in a series of unmissable performances.
Paul Mortimer, Head of Digital Channels and Acquisitions, ITV said: “Celebrity Karaoke Club is back! I’m looking forward to seeing a fresh batch of celebrities take to the stage and sing their hearts out this summer. But this time we’re offering ITV2 viewers a double-measure of karaoke antics with our exciting spin-off Karaoke Club: Drag Edition, as we swing open the doors of the club to some of the world’s biggest Drag Queens and Kings!”
