ITV and ITVX announce Mcfly The 21st Birthday Party produced by Gold Dust Films and set to air on ITV1 and ITVX later this year.  Recorded at The O2 during the band’s 21st birthday concert, the show took fans on a journey through McFly’s history from their breakthrough hit ‘Five Colours in Her Hair’ to last year’s full force rock album ‘Power to Play’. Plus there’ll be a look at some behind the scenes moments between the band and how they put the monumental celebration together.

McFly commented: “We still can’t believe it’s been 21 years, but what a way to look back on many fond memories and celebrate with the people that made it all happen - our fans. We had the best time playing the shows and can’t wait for audiences at home to get the chance to party with us - we’ll only turn 21 once!”

Katie Rawcliffe, Head of Entertainment & Daytime Commissioning ITV added: “Bringing the band’s 21st celebrations to audiences at ITV and ITVX is really exciting and we can’t wait for fans to see the show - it’s fantastic. We’d love to celebrate the next milestone birthday together too!”

Liz Clare at Gold Dust Films comments “Gold Dust Films has loved being part of this massive celebration of McFly and 21 years of their music.  It's been a passion project for the band and we are delighted to be bringing this very special concert and all their backstage fun to ITV. But most importantly we are pleased to be able to give their fans the chance to be part of the biggest party in town. Get ready to be McFly'd!”

McFly The 21st Birthday Party will air on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player soon.

Next year’s Busted vs McFly mega tour has already been a knockout, the head-to-head bout of two of pop-punk’s biggest bands already one of 2025’s hottest tickets with shows rapidly selling-out. But now, it’s ding-ding, round two as another 21 massive arena shows are announced to fulfil phenomenal public demand - in the process, more than doubling the size of the tour. The sheer scale of the tour is immense - the two bands will do battle in front of a combined total of 110,000 fans in London alone! The Busted v McFly beef started when Busted stormed the stage at McFly’s 21st anniversary show at The O2 in London to challenge them to a vs tour. The trash talk has continued ever since, with both bands claiming credits for the tour’s huge ticket sales. Tickets for the final battles in Newcastle (October 12th), Birmingham (October 28th) and London (October 30th) go on sale here from 9am this Friday, October 25th. Very limited tickets for all other shows are available via that same link.
