Beat The Chasers gets Dutch adaptation
December 4, 2020 - ITV Studios’ quiz show Beat The Chasers has been acquired by RTL4 in the Netherlands. The broadcaster has licensed the show, where the local title will be Beat The Champions. The Netherlands follows in the footsteps of Australia, Finland and the UK, but is the first country to commission the show without already having the original hit format The Chase on air. Beat The Champions will be produced by ITV Studios Netherlands and will premiere on January 3 in the prime time slot on RTL 4.
That same month, Finland will launch their local version on MTV3 and in the UK the second series will go on air, following a super successful first season. In Australia the first series recently rounded up a fantastic season, where the show lifted Seven’s time slot audience with 37% in total.
Beat The Chasers is created by Potato, part of ITV Studios and is distributed internationally by ITV Studios.
About Beat The Champions
In Beat The Champions, quiz enthusiasts will have the ultimate chance to compete solo against a team of five super quizzers, each with a wealth of general knowledge. In the first round, the candidate builds up his starting capital by answering a maximum of five questions. The candidate then takes on the Champions in a race against time. The more Champions he dares to challenge, the greater the amount of money to be won, but also the greater the risk of losing everything. But it will not be easy ... these Champions are on the panel for a reason and will do everything they can to defend their honor.
