Man killed in Radstock named as Philip Jones

Police have named a man who died after an assault in Radstock at the weekend as Philip Jones.

Philip, 50, was found by officers at a home in Huish Court after they were called to reports of an assault around 2.30am on Saturday 16 June.

When they arrived he had serious injuries but died shortly afterward.

Philip’s family are shocked and saddened by their sudden loss. They have asked for their privacy to be respected at this time so that they can grieve and come to terms with the loss of Philip.

Six people have been arrested since the murder investigation began.

Four people, three men and one woman, have been released under investigation and while other two men remain in custody.

Forensic investigators are still working at the scene at the Radstock cul-de-sac.
