New Scilly helicopter service could be worth £30m

The helicopter service stopped in 2012

Backers of the plan for a new helicopter service for the Isles of Scilly say it'll bring in more than £30 million to the local economy and create seventy jobs.

A new planning application has been drawn up for the proposed heliport at Penzance, which is near the old site at Eastern Green. Helicopter flights to the islands from Penzance stopped in 2012 after the operators said it was losing money.
