Mural in memory of DJ Derek nears completion

A mural commemorating Bristol music legend DJ Derek has been nearly completed in a neighbourhood close to his former stomping ground. The two-storey artwork is on the side of a house in Richmond Avenue, Montpelier.

Former accountant Derek Serpell-Morris became an international star through his love of reggae music, eventually appearing at festivals around the world. He went missing in July 2015. Months later his body was found in undergrowth near Cribbs Causeway.
