Historic hotel destroyed by fire

The historic Royal Clarence Hotel in Exeter has been gutted by a fire that burned for more than 50 hours. The building is thought to be the first hotel in England, but now only a crumbling facade remains - and even that has now been demolished.

Aerial pictures reveal fire's devastation

Aerial photos taken by ITV News has revealed the devastating trail of destruction left by the Exeter fire.

Crews are still on the scene as they try to extinguish the remaining pockets of fire.

Meanwhile only a skeleton of the historic Royal Clarence Hotel remains.

It's demolition is expected to begin tomorrow morning:
