Will Young adopts orphaned moorland foal

Singer Will Young has adopted an orphaned Bodmin Moor pony. He has named the foal Sheila, and took to Twitter to introduce her to his 202,000 followers.

The youngster was found next to her dead mother and rescued by the Shires Holt horse sanctuary. Staff there bottle fed her every two hours until she started to gain strength.

Will owns a house on the moors near Bodmin and is now paying for Sheila’s care. It is hoped she will eventually move to the 37-year-old’s home under the care of Shires Holt.
