World IBF bantamweight boxing champion, Lee Haskins, believes the boxing match which left fellow West Country boxer Nick Blackwell in a coma should have been stopped earlier than it was.

Trowbridge boxer, Nick Blackwell remains in a coma after suffering bleeding to the brain following his defeat to Chris Eubank Jr on Saturday.

On Saturday Blackwell was unable to see through his left eye and the British middleweight title bout was stopped in the 10th round.

Blackwell was later carried out on a stretcher and taken to hospital, where the 25-year-old remained under observation on Sunday morning.

Former World Featherweight champion, Barry McGuigan, says no one is to blame.
