She said her car was followed along Down Barn Road, Winterbourne Gunner, by a car flashing its headlights and then a blue light. The woman told police that she pulled over and was told by the driver - a well-dressed white man in his 30s, with short dark hair - that she had no tax or insurance and needed to sit in his car to give her details.

She said she became suspicious and asked for ID.

At this point she said the man pushed her and there was a short scuffle, but the woman managed to get back into her car and drive off. The man's car - a dark, four-door hatchback - followed her to the junction with the A345 and was last seen turning left to Salisbury. There was a passenger in the front - a black, bald man of a similar age.

Another car passed the two parked cars at the time of the incident - if you were in this car, Wiltshire Police are asking you to contact DC Paula Clissold on 101.
