The wet and windy weather throughout Christmas has brought an unexpected gift for fossil hunters on the Jurassic Coast. A massive cliff fall has dropped hundreds of tonnes of fossil-rich rocks down to the beach at Charmouth in Dorset.

Boulders bigger than cars litter the beach after one of the biggest rock falls for years. It's been caused by a combination of very wet weather and very high tides. But there are warnings that the cliffs remain unstable and people are being advised to keep clear.
