20mph zones to be debated after thousands sign petition

Bristol City Council will debate its controversial 20 mile per hour speed zones later today.

More than 8,000 people have signed a petition calling for the rollout of the scheme to be scrapped. Opponents to the scheme say they want to restore common sense. Meanwhile another petition is calling for the zones to be extended.
