Futuristic observation pod planned for Bath

Visitors to Bath could get a new elevated view of the city if a new futuristic tourist attraction gets the go-ahead.

Called the AquEye, the glass observation pod would be built on Pulteney Weir and rise to a height of 65 metres above the city.

It would take up to 25 passengers and could open in 2017 if it gets planning permission.
