Twenty soldiers injured on Salisbury Plain

There's been an accident involving three military vehicles on Salisbury Plain. South West Ambulance treated up to twenty casualties. At least two soldiers have suffered "life changing injuries", and several were airlifted to hospital.

Army says Salisbury Plain crash will be 'duly investigated'

The Ministry of Defence have released a statement confirming that they will investigate a multi-vehicle crash during a training exercise on Salisbury Plain, and confirmed that there were a "number of casualties".

We can confirm that there has been a road traffic collision in the Salisbury Plain training area in which it is understood there are a number of casualties.

The British Army is supporting Wiltshire Police and South West Ambulance Service with their response to the incident which will be duly investigated.

Around 20 soldiers were reported to have been injured in the crash. It is understood both British and Indian military personnel were involved in the incident.
