Dozens of people attend meeting to save Hallen Football Club

Dozens of people attended a public meeting tonight to try and save an amateur football club near Bristol.

Hallen FC may have to fold after Almondsbury Parish Council announced it was closing it's forty year old complex. More than twenty thousand pounds is needed to keep the Hallen Centre open, and the club says it's given a number of solutions - including the help of two other organisations - to the council.

But the Council insists the centre isn't financially viable.
