Bristol tree protesters occupying land designated for Bristol's new MetroBus have won the support of two local MPs.

The protesters have been camped out at Frenchay for nearly three weeks, trying to stop the trees being felled for Bristol's new Metrobus route.

Now a letter signed by Charlotte Leslie and Kerry McCarthy has been hung up at the site, urging the Mayor George Ferguson to rethink the route. The letter has been jointly written by the two MPs and eight councillors.

Bailiffs were granted permission to clear the site six days ago but have not yet done so despite the court order.
