Wild beavers living on a river in Devon have been breeding. The River Otter Beaver Project has been monitoring the animals, which are the first wild colony in England for centuries.

Natural England has confirmed the beavers currently residing in the River Otter will be released into the wild.

The licence granted to Devon Wildlife Trust means beavers could soon be roaming in a river near you!

The trial will take place over five years.
