Bristol is celebrating its role as European Green Capital with events over the weekend, including landmarks turning green.

The city has pledged to cut carbon emissions by 40 percent by the year 2020 as part of its green promise.

WATCH: A high-wire cyclist sees Bristol from 27 metres in the air

Stunned Bristolians caught a glimpse of something very special today - a world-famous stuntman practised cycling across a 120-metre high wire 27 metres in the air - a rehearsal for tomorrow's Bristol Green Capital opening ceremony.

Jade Kindar-Martin agreed to wear a small camera for us as he performed his daring feat - here is what the world looks like from his point of view.

Tomorrow's dramatic encore. which is free to the public, will take place at 7pm tomorrow as part of the European Green Capital Opening Ceremony.

Some of the best vantage points include, Greville Smyth Park, Ashton Road and the Cumberland Basin, Hotwells.
