Gloucestershire father's Himalayan feat

A self-confessed unfit man from Gloucestershire has managed to scale the height of Everest to raise money to help his daughter walk.

James Bottger climbed Robinswood Hill in Gloucester 75 times in a row. He started on Saturday and finished just before 10pm, 22 December.

Gloucester's 'Everest' dad gets daughter's life-changing treatment this weekend

James Bottger's feat means Charlotte will get treatment to help her walk.

A father from Gloucestershire who climbed the equivalent of Everest to raise money for his four-year-old daughter, will fly to America with her for treatment this weekend.

James Bottger from Slimbridge walked up and down Robinswood Hill 75 times last month, raising £26,000.

His daughter Charlotte has cerebral palsy and needs treatment at a specialist hospital. The family will stay with a sponsor for five weeks while Charlotte receives an operation to give her the chance to walk.
