A Freedom of Information request has found extraditing former murder suspect Shrien Dewani for trial in South Africa cost around £250,000. The Bristol businessman was cleared of plotting his wife's death on their honeymoon four years ago.

A look at how the Dewani court case collapsed

Shrien Dewani has walked free from a South African court after the murder trial against him collapsed. After 8 weeks of prosecution evidence, the judge said the prosecution was 'riddled with contradictions' and fell 'far below' the threshhold for the trial to continue.

The Bristol businessman was accused of planning the murder of his bride while on their honeymoon in 2010 - tonight her family say justice has failed them.
