Man and woman re-arrested over Bruton hit and run

84-year-old David Hick was on his way to the shops with his dogs when he was killed

Police investigating the death of a pensioner in a hit and run in Bruton in Somerset have re-arrested a 46-year-old man and 31-year-old woman from Somerset.

84-year-old David Hick died after the crash in Cole Road on 14 October.

Police say the man and woman have been released on police bail pending further enquiries and so the Crown Prosecution Service can be consulted over prosecution advice for them and a second man - from the London area - who was previously arrested.

They also want the driver of a dark coloured new-style VW Golf to come forward. It was driving along Cole Road just before the collision at 8.23pm, travelling from the direction of Sexey’s School towards the town centre.
