Four-day fire strike underway
Fire Brigades' Union members are staging a four-day walkout until 6pm on Tuesday 4th November. The strike is part of an on-going dispute with the Government over pensions.
Firefighters in Cornwall join strike action
Firefighters across the region have been on strike over the weekend in a dispute over pensions and changes to their retirement age. The four day industrial action comes in the run up to Bonfire night - the service's busiest time of the year. 999 calls are still being responded to, but there have been limited crews available.
