Naval heritage expert on the loss of HMS Plymouth

Plymouth's own warship is on its way to the scrapyard tonight - despite a last minute legal challenge to save it.

HMS Plymouth spent the last ten years docked in Liverpool after a long and illustrious career - the highlight of which saw the boat play a pivotal role in the Falklands war. Naval expert Paul Rowse from the Naval Base Heritage Centre says many people had hoped she could have been saved for the city
