Sinking cargo ship towed to St Austell bay

A large cargo vessel that started to sink off the Lizard has now been towed into St Austell bay.

The six crew members were rescued from the Sea Breeze yesterday. Divers will now fit a metal plate to the hull to stop it gaining water.

A meeting is due to take place later to come up with a salvage plan. The ship is stable and no pollution has been reported so far.
