Manhunt continues after body found at disused mine

Police investigating the death of David Alderson in Cornwall are continuing their search for a man they'd like to speak to.

33-year-old Kevin Cooper from Redruth was last seen in the Plymouth area on Tuesday morning.

Body found at Wheal Maid in Cornwall

A man's body has been found within the grounds of a mine works at Wheal Maid, near Carharrack, in Cornwall.

It was discovered early this morning by a dog walker.

Police believe the man, aged between 50 - 65, had a serious accident within the works and died at the scene. His identity is unknown at this time.

He has a full grey beard and a bald head. He was dressed in a blue fleece, dark coloured running bottoms and black Specialized Sport TR cycling shoes.

He was also wearing a pair of brown gardening gloves. A pair of spectacles and a black baseball cap were located nearby.

The area is used by mountain bikers, and officers are appealing for any cyclists who may have seen the man in the area to contact them on 101.
