Gloucestershire and Avon & Somerset police have revealed the cost of the recent badger cull to each force.
Martin Surl, Gloucestershire's Police and Crime Commissioner says it cost £1.7 million to police the cull over the seven week period, or £1,800 pounds per badger.
He says the cost will be recharged to central government. In the Avon and Somerset area, the figure was £739,000 pounds for the period.
But the Farming Minister says the real cost is dealing with TB in cattle:-
