Battling the menace of seagulls

A seagull summit has been held to help people and businesses affected by the birds.

In many places seagulls have become an aggressive nuisance - scavenging food and nesting on rooftops.

East Devon District Council organised the event in Sidmouth after complaints from the public about the birds.

Councillor Tom Wright from East Devon District Council says the warmer summer months led to more birds being fed.
