High turnout at Exeter's Respect Festival

Thousands of people have been attending the Exeter Respect festival - the city's annual celebration of diversity.

It features several performance areas and more than 180 stalls, and was set up in 1997 after the murder of the teenager Stephen Lawrence in London.

Despite financial pressures, organisers have managed to keep free admission which may account for an expected record crowd.
