A Plymouth father has been jailed for seven years for killing his baby daughter. The jury at Plymouth Crown Court took less than two hours to convict Benjamin Roach of shaking one-month-old Roxie Hopkins-Roach to death.
Plymouth father guilty of manslaughter to be sentenced
A Plymouth father will be sentenced today [Tuesday[] after being found guilty of the manslaughter of his baby daughter.
The jury took less than two hours to convict Benjamin Roach of shaking one month old Roxie at Plymouth Crown Court.
Medical evidence at the trial heard that some of the baby's injuries were so severe they could have been caused in a car crash, and if she had survived Roach's assault, she would have been left blind.
