Bridgwater Carnival
Bridgwater's famous carnival - held on a Saturday for the first time in years - had 117 entries, including more than 50 illuminated carts. Each one is up to 100ft long with up to 25,000 lights.
Carnival collection increases
Organisers have announced that the street collection held during this year's Bridgwater Carnival raised £24,565, an increase of nearly £3,500 on 2011.
The money will be shared between ten local charities.
