Today is the 40th anniversary of one of Swindon's most iconic landmarks. The Magic Roundabout was designed by Norman Pritchard in 1972. It consists of five mini-roundabouts arranged around a sixth central, anti-clockwise roundabout. It's been voted Britain's scariest junctions.
