Seventh place for Pavey in 5,000 metres
Exeter Harrier runner Jo Pavey came in seventh in tonight's 5,000 metre final at the Olympic Stadium. She and her team-mate Julia Bleasdale, who finished eighth, were setting the pace with just five laps to go but then dropped down the field. Ethiopia's Meseret Defar claimed gold.

Ben Ainslie honoured to carry flag for Team GB
Ben Ainslie will carry the flag in tonight's closing ceremony. The 35yr old from Falmouth is the most decorated Olympian sailor.

Ceremony to be held for Gold Medallist Helen Glover
Penzance will host a homecoming parade for Helen Glover. An open top bus will go through the town to mark her success.
