Bristol City Council to close 7 residential care homes

Bristol City Council has announced plans to close seven of its residential care homes, and seven day centres under a radical shake-up of social care.

The authority says it's responding to a change in demand among the most vulnerable while closing old buildings which are under-used. The closures would save nearly four million pounds and put at risk around 150 jobs.
