Wiltshire Police has confirmed that the pilot of a light aircraft which crashed at Cotswold Airport yesterday afternoon is in a stable condition in hospital.
The 47 year old Belgium pilot suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Frenchay Hospital near Bristol by the Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
He underwent surgery in the early hours of today and will have further surgery later.
The crash is being investigated by the Air Accident Investigation Branch.
