It comes just months after customers in Brixham were forced to boil their water for weeks after an outbreak of cryptosporidiosis in the supply.

Warnings were put out three times in August and this is the second time the Environment Agency has issued warnings for the beach this month.

Friends of the Dart is hoping to raise £30,000 so weekly water testing can be carried out all year round.
