Success for local teams on the Isles of Scilly
The Isles of Scilly are enjoying the biggest weekend of their year, with the arrival of 3,000 rowers for the World Pilot Gig Championships.
In the event's 27th year, crews have come from as far afield as Holland and the USA.

Penultimate day of Championship action
28 miles off the UK mainland in the wide open sea, rowers were locked in battle.
The Gig Championships on the Isle of Scilly are in their second day. 3,000 rowers straining every muscle to try to beat their rivals.
Regular visitors are the Dutch. They've got 7 teams here, and have brought 4 of their own gigs.

Victory for local teams at World Gig Championships
2016 World Gig Championships draw to a close
The world gig championships have finished on the Isles of Scilly.
More than 150 boats took part, making it the biggest competition in its 27 year history.
Competitors flew in from all over the world with teams from Holland, USA and Bermuda.
Falmouth won the men's final and Caradon took the women's title.

Gig built by wounded veterans is handed over for World Championships
A gig built by wounded veterans for the Help for Heroes charity has been handed over.
A crew from the charity will race the boat named Valiant, in the World Gig Championships on the Isles of Scilly this weekend.
The gig set off from Tresco and was welcomed on the main island of St Mary's, accompanied by other gigs.
