'Fame amazed and amused him - but he never changed'

DJ Derek's brother, Gerry, has paid tribute to him, describing how "fame amazed and amused him" but he "never changed":

"Fame amazed and amused him. It didn't make him rich, nothing changed.

He stayed in a small dark basement flat in St Pauls. He had nothing of value even his Lord Mayor's medal was below some dusty artefacts.

People told him they booked him because his love of the music came through."

'A psychic predicted where DJ Derek would be found'

DJ Derek's great niece Jenny Griffiths has told ITV News how a psychic predicted where he was lying.

Derek disappeared in July 2015 and was found in shrubland near Cribbs Causeway in March this year.

A psychic told Miss Griffiths he was 'in woodland - with a train.' When Miss Griffiths later went to the spot where he was found, she dug a hole to plant flowers. And found an old metal toy train under the earth.
