Dog rescued from icy pond in Bristol
A dog has been rescued by firefighters in Bristol after it fell into an icy pond.
Milo the springer spaniel was unable to get to safety after ending up in the frozen pond at Eastwood Farm nature reserve in Broomhill.

Milo the dog is rescued from frozen pond in Bristol
A dog owner is extremely grateful after firefighters rescued her pet after he fell into a frozen pond in Bristol.
Milo the springer spaniel slipped through the ice during a walk in the Eastwood Farm nature reserve. He was in the water for 25 minutes before he climbed onto an island in the middle of the pond.
Firefighters used an inflatable walkway to reach the island and two firefighters walked across to Milo. They were able to get a lead on to the dog and walked him back to safety, where he was reunited with his owner. He was unhurt, just cold and wet.
Avon Fire & Rescue is warning people to take extra care when outside during the cold weather.

The springer spaniel was unable to get to safety after falling into the frozen pond at Eastwood Farm nature reserve in Broomhill.
The owner of two and a half year-old Milo called 999. He slipped through the ice and was in the water for around 25 minutes before he managed to climb up onto an island in the middle of the pond.
When firefighters arrived they used an inflatable walkway to reach the island. They were able to get a lead on to the dog and walked him back to safety. He was unhurt - just cold and wet.
