Neighbour tells of "almighty bang" in flat explosion
A neighbour of the exploded flat in Taunton said she heard an "almighty bang" which shook the foundations of her home.
After feeling the building shake, she and her husband were told by police to dress very quickly and evacuate.
They were allowed to return to the property about 3:30am, and said they could smell gas only very slightly.
Police find evidence of cannabis in exploded flat
Police investigating an explosion at a flat in Taunton have found evidence of cannabis being grown inside.
Crews were called to a flat in Gaunton Close late on Friday night. They rescued a man who is being treated for burns in hospital. When it was safe to do so, police searched the flat and recovered 12 large plants and lights and a tent thought to be associated with the cultivation of the illegal drug.

Suspected gas explosion destroys Taunton flat
A man has suffered burns after a suspected gas explosion at a flat in Taunton.
Crews were called to Gaunton Close late on Friday night where a large hole had been blown out of the building.
They rescued the man and extinguished a small fire. A police corden remains in place while investigations are carried out.
