Thousands enjoy Bridgwater Carnival 2014
Pentathlon carnival club were victims to the floods
Hundreds and hundreds of people have been working towards tonight's Bridgwater Carnival for twelve months. One club have come through if not hell then high water to be there. The Pentathlon carnival club's cart became a float when 9 feet of floodwater filled their farm shed in Moorland. There was a lot of damage as Roger Brown explains:
6,000 watch Willow man set alight
A giant willow squibber was trundled to the Fairfield and set alight last night ahead of the Bridgwater Carnival. Around 6,000 people came to see him and the fireworks that followed. They enjoyed the spectacle and an unseasonably warm evening.

Behind the scenes at Bridgwater Carnival
Willow Man to go up in flames
It's the Bridgwater Carnival this weekend (Saturday) and the finishing touches are being put to the floats, and to this 18ft Guy made from willow.
After all the work, he'll be going up in flames tonight - as part of the pre-carnival firework display.
