Hedgehog loses his prickles

A hedgehog with no prickles has won the hearts of staff at a sanctuary in Cheddar. "Pumpkin" was poorly when he was brought in and then lost his spines. He'll have to spend winter in a heated room but it's hoped his spikes will eventually grow back.

Hedgehog attack not a first for our reporter

Our reporter David Woodland was attacked by a balding hedgehog today - you can see that moment here - but it's not the first time he's got on the wrong side of an animal.

Pumpkin the hedgehog lost all his spines after getting ill. Now he's safely ensconced at the Prickles Hedgehog Rescue Centre and is recovering well. Watch him in action:
